static discharge mainly occurring during thunderstorm activity as seen on the windscreen of an airplane—

Cruising through the fringes of thunderstorms the static buildup discharges as mini lightning as seen here. 

Used an f5 aperture and 30 second exposure -while Flying at 38000’ and Mach 0.81 (81% of local speed of sound) just reduced noise and cropped slightly..

all men should wear ties.
